Hooray….

January 3rd, 2010

Yo.

Leeds have just knocked Man Utd out of the FA cup. Why can’t Wednesday manage stuff like that? Actually, don’t answer. There are clearly many reasons why…..

Re the book – the first draft of Resurrection Men is complete, and has been/is being read by some willing volunteers (my mum read it in one sitting…..). They’ll need a few weeks to give me some feedback, and I’ll be busy back at school, so I might not be doing much writing for the time being. I’ll probably spend February half term making changes and preparing to send a revised version to agents (or maybe crying in a corner, depending on the comments I get…..). ThenĀ I plan to start work on the pantomime horse thing (see previous post….) some time after that.

I’mvery excited about something else, too; plans for a ‘cafe church’ are afoot amongst some of my friends, which would combine two of my favourite things: Jesus and coffee (difficult to say which has a bigger influence on my life….). I got inspired by the idea after reading a great book called ‘Irresistible Revolution’ by a guy called Shane Claiborne (. It’s all about living out a life that is actually influenced by Jesus and not by ‘church’, and making a real impact in your community. Problem is, it’s challenging – I will have to actually do something in response….

One Response to “Hooray….”

Leeds took more fans to Old Trafford than Wednesday managed to squeeze into Hillsborough on Saturday. Did the Wednesdayites really need four seats each? Having said that, not too sure how many people have paid to watch Blades v QPR today – not that many I bet….
